Play England WE LOVE OUTDOOR PLAY! The Love Outdoor Play campaign is calling on everyone to do something to make sure that more children can play out more often. This could be as simple as taking five minutes to map your favourite place to play on the online map, helping out at your local play project or spreading the Love Outdoor Play word on Facebook and Twitter.       There are some excellent resources available on the main Play England website   How about adding some information to the map about your local green spaces for play. http://www.playengland.org.uk/map
Building bridges As an example of an interesting link for Learning Outside the Classroom, here are some photographs from a recent half day event with a Year 6 class. Their topic was the Second World War and they wanted to do some Design Technology to go with this. The armies used tanks in the battlefields during WW2 but needed to enable them to cross rivers to advance and the bridges were often demolished to stop them.
